Just came back from watching the movie ‘Drive’. Not what I expected. At all. Nevertheless, beautifully filmed. Superbly cast. Perfectly acted. Intensity fueled this film. That’s all I could really feel. Intense. Very dreamy, yet filled with unrelenting reality. I fell in love with the bonds made between the Driver and the family. The silent smiles exchanged between Irene and the Driver were more than enough. The Driver’s true character and nature were difficult to grasp. An excellent driver, a gentleman, good with kids, and … a fearless killer. Reminded me a lot of 아저씨, except, we learn nothing of the Driver’s past and what makes him the way he is. Mysterious. What really made this movie even more excellent, was the music. Every track and beat was on point in portraying the heartbeat of the film. Well done. I recommend, but as my friend said today, not for the fainthearted.
